Gestión sustentable en el sector hotelero veracruzano: Aproximación a través de un Cuadro de Mando Integral

    La presente investigación aborda el paradigma de la sustentabilidad en el sector turístico hotelero veracruzano. El objetivo general es identificar y analizar los elementos claves necesarios para la evaluación del grado de implementación de estrategias de gestión sustentable en el sector turístico hotelero de Veracruz, mediante la propuesta de un Modelo de Cuadro de Mando Integral Sustentable (CMIS) basado en investigaciones recientes. La metodología parte de un análisis cuantitativo descriptivo de fuentes primarias. Los resultados evidencian que de los establecimientos analizados un 68% hacen más énfasis en los resultados económicos, descuidando la importancia de la perspectiva ambiental y social de las regiones anfitrionas, y el establecimiento de estrategias orientadas a implementar el desarrollo de un turismo más sustentable.

    This research deals with the paradigm of sustainability in the hotel tourism sector in Veracruz. The general objective is to identify and analyze the key elements necessary for the evaluation of the degree of implementation of sustainable management strategies in the hotel tourism sector of Veracruz, through the proposal of a Sustainable Integral Scorecard Model based on recent research. The methodology is based on a descriptive quantitative analysis of primary sources. The results show that of the establishments analyzed, 68% place more emphasis on economic results, neglecting the importance of the environmental and social perspective of the host regions, and the establishment of strategies aimed at implementing the development of more sustainable tourism.
