    El uso de los textos rabínicos como herramienta para conocer mejor el contexto en el que surgió el cristianismo primitivo tiene una larga historia, la cual continúa en recientes publicaciones. El cambio de paradigma en el estudio de los textos rabínicos suscitado por Neusner tuvo como consecuencia el cuestionamiento de su fiabilidad para reconstruir el comienzo del judaísmo rabínico. Sin embargo, los recientes avances en la investigación sobre el judaísmo rabínico no consiguen permear en muchos de los estudiosos del N. T., que siguen utilizando estos textos de manera acrítica, dando lugar a visiones erróneas sobre el judaísmo del segundo templo, los fariseos y el judaísmo rabínico. Este estudio actualiza el estado de la investigación sobre el judaísmo rabínico y plantea unas consideraciones para su uso en el estudio del N. T.

    The use of rabbinic texts as a tool to better understand the context in which early Christianity emerged has a long history which continues in recent publications. The epochal shift in the study of rabbinic texts brought about by Neusner resulted in the questioning of their reliability for reconstructing the beginning of rabbinic Judaism. However, recent advances in research on rabbinic Judaism fail to permeate many N. T. scholars, who continue to use these texts uncritically, giving rise to erroneous views of Second Temple Judaism, the Pharisees and rabbinic Judaism. This study updates the state of research on rabbinic Judaism and raises considerations for use in the study of the N. T.
