The article addresses the relationship between music and spirituality, especially in the context of the Catholic Church. It highlights how music has accompanied human beings throughout history, acting as a vehicle to express emotions and connect with the divine. Sacred music, which includes Gregorian chant and polyphony, plays a central role in the liturgy, although the Second Vatican Council opened the possibility of incorporating modern musical genres, as long as they respect the liturgical spirit. Furthermore, he maintains that sacred music can be hybridized with other genres, as long as it is inspired by the word of God.
