Mapas e docilidade dos corpos-territórios: redesenhando o espaço agrário do Cariri cearense

    The objective of this study was to analyze the main urban dynamics that influence the production of socio-spatial segregation in the city of Garanhuns-PE/Brazil, especially in its peri-urban spaces. The reproduction of urban centers in regions marked by underdevelopment, such as Latin America, is also characterized by the socio-spatial segregation that places susceptible to disasters in the housing occupied by the poorest sections of the population. In countries such as Brazil, this process is reinvigoratedby the way cities are historically originated and/or expanded, even affecting intermediate cities far from traditional metropolitan centers. Thus, it was questioned that dynamics related to the process of urban reproduction imply socio-spatial segregationin peri-urban areas ofthe city of Garanhuns. The methodology was based on a systemic approach and the application of techniques such as theoretical survey, handling of satellite images and empirical analysis supported by field observations.There was an intense real estate and state activity, combining infrastructures close to high standard residential developments, valued and located far from the center. At the same time, it is necessary to review the actions carried out by the government in peri-urban spaces, mainly in the poorest sectors, in which demographic contingents precariously served by public policies are concentrated, even natural resources negatively impacted by urban growth.

    Este artigo analisa o imaginário espacial construído pelos mapas históricos que configuram os territórios do Cariri cearense no processo da modernidade-colonialidade imposta pela classe dominante, tendo impacto direto aos sujeitos subalternizados, influenciando no seu modo de vida, seus saberes e fazeres. A partir de levantamentos bibliográfico, documental e cartográfico, mostra-se que este processo se articula com os grandes projetos que vem sendo desenvolvido desde a colonização nessa região para a agroindústria do sistema capitalista, criando uma violência nos corpos-territórios para dominação e docilidade. Nesse sentido, há um redesenho do espaço agrário caririense que se desloca dos povos originários e tradicionais para as lógicas hegemônicas da classe dominante.
