  La varicela es una enfermedad infecciosa viral, «muy pediátrica», de contagiosidad elevada, que desde el punto de vista clínico se diferencia fácilmente del resto de enfermedades exantemáticas, afecta sobre todo a la población en edad infantil y por ello el personal de enfermería tiene un papel fundamental en el control de casos, educación a la familia sobre evitar contagios y cura de las lesiones que se producen. En este artículo nos adentraremos en diversos aspectos. La varicela es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa de distribución mundial, producida por la infección primaria del virus varicela zoster (VVZ) o herpes virus humano, y es característica de la edad infantil. El ser humano es el único reservorio conocido. En climas templados más del 90% de la población la ha padecido antes de los 15 años y un 95% en el comienzo de la vida adulta.

  Chickenpox is a «very pediatric» viral infectious disease, highly contagious, which from a clinical point of view is easily differentiated from the rest of exanthemata’s diseases, it mainly affects the child-age population and therefore the nursing staff has a fundamental role in case control, educating the family about avoiding infections and curing the injuries that occur. In these articles we will delve into various aspects. Chickenpox is an infectious-contagious disease with worldwide distribution, caused by the primary infection of the varicella zoster virus (VZV) or human herpes virus, and is characteristic of childhood. Human beings are the only known reservoir. In temperate climates, more than 90% of the population has suffered from it before the age of 15 and 95% at the beginning of adult life.
