    En esta investigación se analizan textualmente varias escenas ambientadas en pubs de tres películas dirigidas por Ken Loach entre 1969 y 2016: Kes, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, y I, Daniel Blake. En la primera de ellas, con un realismo cercano al documental, la escena de pub señala la ausencia del protagonista del film en la misma. En The Wind that Shakes the Barley el pub se convierte en campo de batalla, y también de disfrute, presidido por el sagrado corazón de Jesús. Y I, Daniel Blake muestra el pub como lugar alternativo para cubrir, de manera sórdida, las lagunas que dejan los servicios sociales. El templo del alcohol en el Reino Unido e Irlanda se nos muestra como lugar ideal para retratar el entorno social y económico de estas películas, así como para contribuir a la evolución del fondo y la trama de cada una de ellas.

    In this research we proceed to the textual analysis of several scenes set in pubs in three films directed by Ken Loach between 1969 and 2016: Kes, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, and I, Daniel Blake. In the first of these, with a type of realism close to documentary, the pub scene signals the absence of the protagonist in the film. In The Wind that Shakes the Barley, the pub becomes a field of battle, and of enjoyment, presided over by the Sacred Heart of Jesus. And I, Daniel Blake shows the pub as an alternative place to fill, in a sordid way, the gaps left by social services. The temple of alcohol in the UK and Ireland is shown as an ideal place to portray the social and economic environment of these films, as well as to contribute to the evolution of the background and plot of each of them.
