    La participación femenina en el sector asociativo se ha visto atenuada por las actuales condiciones económicas y sociales. Dentro del sector de economía popular y solidaria (EPS) el protagonismo siempre ha sido mantenido por el liderazgo de hombres frente a iniciativas comprometidas con sus principios de superación, no obstante, se ha invisibilizado las actitudes y destrezas de las mujeres ecuatorianas. La investigación tiene como objetivo presentar la realidad de las mujeres en el sector asociativo en la Asociación de Producción Textil Emprendedores de Quevedo (ASOPROTEQUE), identificando las cualidades, desafíos y barreras por las que se enfrentan. Además de conocer y describir las perspectivas junto con las experiencias de sus principales líderes dentro de la agrupación principalmente sobre su participación y equidad de género. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se aplicó la siguiente metodología: se hizo un análisis Alfa de Cronbach para la fiabilidad de las preguntas, revisión bibliográfica, encuesta, entrevista y valoración de expertos. Como resultado se evidenció que las socias de (ASOPROTEQUE) afrontan diversos obstáculos como: la discriminación, subestimación de sus habilidades y el desafío por mantener en equilibrio sus responsabilidades familiares con las laborales. Por lo que, una activa participación de las mujeres en la (EPS), se perfila como alternativa para alcanzar un desarrollo sostenible junto con una sociedad más equitativa.

    Women's participation in the associative sector has been attenuated by the current economic and social conditions. Within the popular and solidarity economy sector (EPS) the protagonism has always been maintained by the leadership of men in front of initiatives committed to their principles of improvement, however, the attitudes and skills of Ecuadorian women have been made invisible. The research aims to present the reality of women in the associative sector in the Association of Textile Production Entrepreneurs of Quevedo (ASOPROTEQUE), identifying the qualities, challenges and barriers they face. In addition to knowing and describing the perspectives along with the experiences of its main leaders within the group, mainly about their participation and gender equity. For the development of the research, the following methodology was applied: a Cronbach's Alpha analysis was made for the reliability of the questions, bibliographic review, survey, interview and expert assessment. As a result, it became evident that the members of (ASOPROTEQUE) face various obstacles such as: discrimination, underestimation of their abilities and the challenge of maintaining a balance between their family and work responsibilities. Therefore, an active participation of women in the (EPS), is emerging as an alternative to achieve sustainable development along with a more equitable society.
