El Matrimonio es una figura jurídica que se remonta al inicio del Derecho y que a lo largo del tiempo ha ido transformándose, adaptándose a la sociedad, de allí que se han originado otros tipos de uniones como la Unión Estable de Hecho e incluso relaciones de Poligamia y Poliandria, a esta situación, es necesario mencionar los nuevos tipos de uniones familiares, que tienen su origen con los avances científicos y su relación con las Técnicas de Reproducción Asistida.

Marriage, as a legal institution, has its roots in the early enshrinement of rights and has evolved over time in response to societal changes. This evolution has given rise to other forms of unions, such as the Civil Union, as well as relationships involving polygamy and polyandry. It is notable that scientific advancements and the use of Assisted Reproduction Techniques have led to the emergence of new types of families.
