Resumen de Influencia criminal en la geopolítica del arco minero del Orinoco

El presente artículo describe las características geopolíticas de la región denominada Arco Minero del Orinoco (AMO), resaltando la importancia que se le debe dar a esta región desde el ámbito de la Inteligencia Estratégica, para lo cual, se hace un estudio cualitativo basado en referencias primarias y secundarias con análisis axial. Se plantea cómo diferentes grupos armados ilegales han realizado actividades tendientes a ejercer el control ilegal del territorio, identificando un marcado interés por realizar acciones criminales en esta región. Sumado a la mutación de amenazas transnacionales y un marcado interés de multinacionales que se han establecido en la región, apoyadas por regímenes totalitarios, con el fin de extraer minerales y piedras preciosas a través de agrupaciones criminales que colaboran con el Estado y asumen algunas funciones. Se concluye que la afectación criminal irradia en esta región por los actores que convergen y sus diferentes intereses geopolíticos.

This article describes the geopolitical characteristics of the region known as Arco Minero del Orinoco (AMO), highlighting the importance that should be given to this region from the Strategic Intelligence point of view, for which a qualitative study is made based on primary and secondary references with axial analysis. It is proposed how different illegal armed groups have carried out activities aimed at exercising illegal control of the territory, identifying a marked interest in carrying out criminal actions in this region. Added to the mutation of transnational threats and a marked interest of multinationals that have established themselves in the region, supported by totalitarian regimes, in order to extract minerals and precious stones through criminal groups that collaborate with the State and assume some functions. It is concluded that the criminal affectation radiates in this region due to the converging actors and their different geopolitical interests.
