    El propósito fundamental del presente artículo consiste en efectuar un análisis sobre los alcances y limitaciones que tiene la geopolítica, concebida como herramienta de inteligencia estratégica de los Estados para buscar y alcanzar la explotación de los territorios mediante su poderío. Es decir, la capacidad y la apropiación de las armas y la Fuerza Militar para cumplir con los diferentes objetivos políticos, los cuales están relacionados con el interés y el dominio de distintos territorios, en pro de los diversos beneficios que esto conlleva para el Estado y, por ende, para su propia economía.

    The main purpose of this paper is to carry out an analysis about the scope and limitations that has the geopolitics, conceived as a strategic intelligence tool for the States to seek and achieve the exploitation of territories through their power. That is, the capacity and appropriation of weapons and the Military Force to accomplish with the different political objectives, which are related to the interest and domination of various territories, in favor of the various benefits that the State involves and therefore, for their own economy.
