Resumen de La fotovoz como método de investigación-acción colaborativa para fortalecer el bilingüismo paraguayo en el ámbito educativo

  La investigación se centra en un proyecto colaborativo de investigación entre el Instituto Superior de Lenguas de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción de Paraguay y la Universidad de Texas de Estados Unidos, basadas en las reflexiones sobre el uso del bilingüismo en el sistema educativo nacional. El objetivo de la mencionada labor investigativa es proporcionar datos empíricos sobre las prácticas comunicativas bilingües (guaraní-castellano), vinculado con los marcos heteroglósicos: traslenguaje, el bilingüismo dinámico y la biliteracidad, para el fortalecimiento del uso de la lengua guaraní como lengua enseñada y de enseñanza en los diversos ámbitos de uso. Metodológicamente se trata de una investigación-acción y se emplea la técnica fotovoz, como instrumento de recolección de fotografías y vídeos del ámbito educativo, en donde a través de una serie de encuentros, talleres teóricos-prácticos con estudiantes y docentes de la carrera de Licenciatura en Lengua Guaraní del Instituto Superior de Lenguas, se analizaron el contenido de los diversos materiales educativos recolectados, con la finalidad de encontrar soluciones a problemas lingüísticos de diversos contextos educativos. Los resultados más relevantes demuestran que los diversos niveles del sistema educativo nacional deben garantizar la atención de los derechos lingüísticos de los estudiantes en el ámbito áulico, para el logro de la competencia comunicativa bilingüe de los mismos al término de su proceso formativo, en concordancia de la Constitución Nacional, la Ley 4251/10 de Lenguas y Plan Nacional de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe.

  The research focuses on a collaborative research project between the Higher Institute of Languages at the National University of Asunción in Paraguay and the University of Texas in the United States, based on reflections on theuse of bilingualism in the national education system. The objective of this research work is to provide empirical data on bilingual communicative practices (Guarani-Spanish), linked to heteroglossic frameworks: translanguaging, dynamic bilingualism, and biliteracy, to strengthen the use of the Guarani language as a taught and teaching language in various fields of use. Methodologically, it is an action-research study that employs the photovoice technique as an instrument for collecting photographs and videos from the educational field. Through a series of meetings and theoretical-practical workshops with students and teachers from the Guarani Language Degree program at the Higher Institute of Languages, the content of various collected educational materials was analyzed to find solutions to linguistic problems in diverse educational contexts. The most relevant results demonstrate that the various levels of the national education system must guarantee attention to the linguistic rights of students in the classroom setting, to achieve their bilingual communicative competence at the end of their formative process, in accordance with the National Constitution, Law 4251/10 on Languages, and the National Plan for Intercultural Bilingual Education.
