Resumen de Plein air (2022), la ausencia de luz en el «plenairismo» contemporáneo. La refracción de las inquietudes artísticas y personales urbanitas en el terreno rural imaginario

El «plenairismo» es el movimiento impresionista pictórico escogido por el director y pintor, Raúl Herrera en los entornos del Valle de Mena (Burgos) para acceder a los paisajes emocionales e identitarios que van a ir trazando sus protagonistas en el segundo cortometraje de su filmografía, Plein air (2022). Emma (Ana Polvorosa), visita a su madre (Ana Torrent) en los parajes donde desarrollo su infancia y adolescencia, y que ahora le resultan ausentes de la luz que, también le falta a su trabajo como artista. El propósito de la protagonista será el arrojar luces a un guion inacabado, y actualizar el retrato pictórico de su pasado, a partir de su inquietud por el intercambio entre el pueblo y la ciudad, y de su situación confusa en el arte. Este trabajo propone definir la relación propuesta por Herrera, entre madre e hija, en esa búsqueda de la luz desde donde Emma reniega partir desde sus orígenes. En cambio, Ana Torrent reivindica este territorio como un espacio reflexivo y evocador al que ajustarse, del mismo modo que en otros filmes de temática rural en los que ha intervenido.

The «Pleinarism» is the impressionist artistic movement chosen by the filmmaker and painter Raúl Herrera in the scenery of the Valle de Mena (Burgos, Spain) to access to the emotional and identity landscapes that his characters intertwine in the second short piece of his filmography, Plein Air (2022). Emma (Ana Polvorosa) visits her mother (Ana Torrent) in the land of her childhood and adolescence, now lacking the light that is also absent in her work as an artist. The aim of the protagonist will be thus to try to cast light on an unfinished and update the pictorial portrait of her past from a restlessness resulting of her moving from the country to the city and her disoriented situation in art. The present work tries to define the relationship mother-daughter proposed by Herrera in that searching for light where Emma rejects to start from her origins. On her part, the character played by Ana Torrent claims it as the ideal place to reflect and settle her experience and maturity, in contrast with other films of rural themes she starred to adjust to the same evocative motif in the skins of characters such.
