Resumen de Deslindando las tierras de la villa de Comares (Axarquía de Málaga) en el siglo XVI: toponimia y territorio

La presente investigación se centra en un territorio en el interior de la provincia de Málaga: la Axarquía y, dentro de ella, la villa de Comares. El objetivo principal es conocer el deslinde de las tierras de Comares en el siglo XVI, y para ello se ha estudiado la documentación relativa a los deslindamientos de Málaga y de la ṭā‘a[1] de Comares del siglo XV, además de los libros de apeo y repartimientos de las villas de Comares, Cútar y El Borge del siglo XVI. El estudio de la toponimia de etimología árabe y romance (o prerromance) sirve para la composición de su paisaje y territorio, con conocimiento de sus hitos principales, tanto artificiales como naturales. Con todos los datos recogidos, obtenemos el deslinde de Comares respecto a sus antiguas alquerías de El Borge, Cútar y las Tierras de Pan, además de establecer la dimensión del largo y ancho de la villa, con el objeto de conformar el paisaje de esta zona de la Axarquía en el siglo XVI. Asimismo, incluimos un cuadro toponímico con el origen etimológico y valor semántico de las diferentes voces estudiadas

The focus of this research is on the Axarquia region, located in the interior of the Malaga province, and specifically on the village of Comares. The main objective is to know the demarcation of the lands of Comares in the 16th century. Therefore, we have studied the documentation related to the Malaga disengagements and the administrative district (ṭā'a) of Comares of the 15th century, in addition to the 16th century books on the boundaries and distributions of the villages of Comares, Cútar and El Borge. The study of the toponomy of Arabic and Romance (or pre-Romance) etymology is useful to understand the composition of the landscape and countryside with its main landmarks, both artificial and natural. Based on our analysis of these data, we are able to obtain the demarcation of Comares with respect to its old farmsteads of El Borge, Cútar and the Tierras del Pan, as well as to establish the length and width of the town, to achieve the landscape of this part of the Axarquia region in the 16th century. Finally, we have included a toponymic table with the etymological origin and semantic value of the different words.
