Conectados y medicados: la práctica artística en la era del psicofármaco

    El objetivo del siguiente artículo es ofrecer algunas alternativas para enfrentar las secuelas que dejó la pandemia por Covid-19 en el campo de la salud mental. El propósito de la investigación es hacer una crítica constructiva al consumo de psicofármacos que generan dependencia entre los pacientes psiquiátricos que desconocen los orígenes de su enfermedad. Dicho propósito es pertinente ya que la salud mental es un tema que ha cobrado relevancia a en todo el mundo, y es necesario saber cuáles son los procesos que le permiten a los enfermos mentales resistir y disentir desde la práctica artística y el cultivo de una vida espiritual. A partir de un análisis interpretativo, y desde mi propia experiencia como paciente psiquiátrico, describiré cuál es el panorama que enfrentan los más jóvenes en un mundo donde el estrés laboral produce un ambiente de explotación que no considera el sufrimiento de los pacientes psiquiátricos. Finalmente, explicaré en qué consiste el “efecto psicoeléctrico” y estudiaré cómo la red de cuerpos medicados intenta construir identidad a través del ciberespacio en un mundo donde todavía es posible oponerse al capitalismo.

    The aim of the following article is to offer some alternatives to face the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic in the field of mental health. The purpose of the research is to make a constructive criticism of the consumption of psychotropic drugs that generate dependence among psychiatric patients who are unaware of the origins of their illness. This purpose is relevant since mental health is an issue that has gained relevance worldwide, and it is necessary to know what are the processes that allow the mentally ill to resist and dissent from the artistic practice and the cultivation of a spiritual life. From an interpretative analysis, and from my own experience as a psychiatric patient, I will describe what is the panorama that young people face in a world where work stress produces an exploitative environment that does not consider the suffering of psychiatric patients. Finally, I will explain what the "psychoelectric effect" consists of and I will study how the network of medicated bodies tries to build identity through the World Wide Web in a world where it is still possible to oppose capitalism.
