Resumen de O problema do corpo para Judith Butler

  The article takes as its starting point the type of criticism that Butler receives for the lack of political and moral purposiveness in her theories. Faced with the accusation that the deconstruction of the subject and the body would create a situation of immobility, our objective is to investigate the image of the body in her texts and how this image participates in the elaboration of her ethical and political philosophy. Firstly, we outline his notion of corporeality present in the discussion around the idea of ​​a “sexualized body” according to which it is the discourses that make this body intelligible and meaningful based on gender marks. Butler explains this process through performativity, through which matter acquires reality. However, does not mean the devaluation of matter and the body, but a way of understanding them based on the processes through which they may or may not matter. Based on this understanding, we analyze the emergence of a body ontology based on notion of relationality and intersubjectivity. We conclude, then, that it is possible to glimpse an ethical and political theory in Butler based on idea of interdependence, which emerges from a reconfiguration of the notions of ontology and corporeality, to guide other ways of coexistence and co-responsibility.

  O artigo toma como ponto de partida o tipo de crítica que Butler recebe por falta de propositividade política e moral em suas teorias. Diante da acusação de que a desconstrução do sujeito e do corpo criaria uma situação de imobilismo, nosso objetivo é investigar a imagem de corpo nos textos da filósofa e como essa imagem participa da elaboração de sua filosofia ética e política. Primeiramente, delineamos sua noção de corporalidade presente na discussão em torno da ideia de “corpo sexuado”, segundo a qual são os discursos que tornam esse corpo inteligível e significável a partir das marcas de gênero. Butler explica esse processo através da perfomatividade, por meio da qual a matéria adquiri realidade. Isso, entretanto, não significa a desvalorização da matéria e do corpo, mas uma forma de compreendê-los a partir dos processos pelos quais eles podem importar ou não. A partir desse entendimento, analisamos a emergência de uma ontologia corporal fundamentada na noção de relacionalidade e de intersubjetividade. Concluímos, então, que é possível vislumbrar uma teoria ética e política em Butler pautada na noção de interdependência, que emerge de uma reconfiguração das noções de ontologia e de corporalidade, de modo a pautar modos outros de convivência e de co-responsabilização.
