  It is a literature review about the social and emotional aspects that involve the humanization of the cancer patient, which can be affected by more than 100 types of diseases, bringing insecurity, fear of death, anxiety and depression. The affected person is vulnerable to the emotional disturbances that affect their quality of life and their rehabilitation. Thus, the nursing professional must attend to a holistic care emphasized in humanization. Thus, the objective of this article is directed to the social and emotional aspects of humanizing the thinking and acting of the health professional, specifically, nursing in order to understand the meaning of chemotherapeutic therapy, that is, with bases and strategies of integration and inter -human relationship of teams. Therefore, nursing care is directed to technical assistance in the administration of chemotherapy, in addition to information on side effects, but above all a humanized care.

  Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre os aspectos sociais e emocionais que envolvem a humanização ao paciente com câncer, o qual pode ser acometido por mais de 100 tipos de doenças, trazendo insegurança, medo da morte, angústia e depressão. O acometido está vulnerável aos distúrbios emocionais que afetam sua qualidade de vida e sua reabilitação.

  Assim, o profissional de enfermagem deve-se atentar à uma assistência holística enfatizada na humanização. Assim, o objetivo desse artigo direciona-se aos aspectos sociais e emocionais de humanizar o pensar e o agir do profissional da saúde, especificamente, a enfermagem no intuito de compreender o significado da terapêutica quimioterápica, isto, com bases e estratégias de integração e inter-relação humana das equipes. Portanto, os cuidados em enfermagem são direcionados à assistência técnica na administração dos quimioterápicos, além das informações sobre efeitos colaterais, mas acima de tudo um cuidado humanizado.
