  • Resumen
    • The cinema made possible the recovery of the original substrata of comedy, thereby perpetuating this theatrical genre. Archetypes, masks, physical humor, gags and different ways of making fun of authority find in ¿slapstick¿ the perpetuation of a form of mimetic representation which originated in the comedy of Aristophanes and continued in the Commedia dell¿Arte. Without forgetting the popular element, the first clowns in the history of the cinema laid the foundations of future cinema comedy. Humor, the creator of a peculiar aesthetic experience which is exclusively human, found in the cinema one of its principal allies from the very beginning.
