Resumen de Pelas páginas do Almanak Laemmèrt: colégios para a elite feminina na sede da Corte (1844, 1867, 1869)

  Investigating the colleges advertised at the Almanak Lemmèrt in 1844, 1860, and 1869 for the female elite at Court headquarters is the purpose of this research. The research aims to confront social reality with the historical theory expressed by Elias (1994) of interpendence between individuals and society to explain the need for advertising in times when women were educated to become more “adequate” to the tasks that the marriage They attributed: taking care of the house and children and entertaining the guests of the husband. It emphasizes the role of “guarding” women by the educational institutions to the students as a relevant item for choosing the educating student. It indicates the disciplines that should be apprehended and the care with religious education that conform to the submissive and invisible role of women in society, facing the patriarchal system in force in the nineteenth century. The article intends to minimize the gap about the study of private schools, little studied in the historiography of Education.

  Investigar os colégios que se anunciavam no Almanak Lemmèrt nos anos de 1844, 1860 e 1869, para a elite feminina na sede da Corte é o objetivo desta pesquisa. A investigação pretende confrontar a realidade social com a teoria histórica expressa por Elias (1994) de interpendência entre indivíduos e sociedade para explicar a necessidade da publicidade em período onde a mulher se educava para tornar-se mais “adequada” às tarefas que o casamento que atribuíam: cuidar da casa e dos filhos e entreter os convidados do marido. Ressalta o papel de “guarda” da mulher pelas instituições educativas às alunas como item relevante para a escolha do educandário formador. Indica as disciplinas que deveriam ser apreendidas e os cuidados com a educação religiosa que se conformam ao papel submisso e invisibilizados da mulher na sociedade, frente ao sistema patriarcal vigente no século XIX. O artigo pretende minimizar lacuna sobre o estudo das escolas privadas, pouco estudada na historiografia da Educação.
