Resumen de África: la pugna de viejas y nuevas potencias por su dominio

La guerra en Ucrania supone un punto de inflexión en la geopolítica global; de nuevo, y de manera muy patente, se han ido definiendo una serie de bloques, de grandes asociaciones de naciones que, con este conflicto como trasfondo, se van alineando para alcanzar sus intereses, de un modo no visto desde la segunda guerra mundial y su secuela, la guerra fría.
Si bien el futuro no está escrito, y nadie puede predecir con certeza el tipo de «orden» global que se está gestando y que pudiera tener en el conflicto en Ucrania –término que etimológicamente, necesario es recordar, significa «frontera»-, lo cierto es que este gran conflicto armado de nivel planetario –por el número de naciones implicadas directa o indirectamente en el apoyo a uno u otro de los contendientes- puede ser, y probablemente sea, la antesala de un nuevo orden mundial, yendo hacia un formato ¿unipolar, bipolar o multipolar?.
Sea como fuere, las placas tectónicas del mundo están chocando, reconfigurándose; y en las fallas y puntos de colisión, los conflictos surgen en unas partes, y en otras se van gestando….

The war in Ukraine represents a turning point in global geopolitics; once again, and very clearly, a series of blocs have been defined, of large associations of nations which, with this conflict as a backdrop, are aligning themselves to achieve their interests, in a way not seen since the Second World War and its sequel, the Cold War.
Although the future is unwritten, and no one can predict with certainty the type of global «order» that is being forged and that could result from the conflict in Ukraine -a term that etymologically, it should be remembered, means «border»- what is certain is that this first major armed conflict on a planetary scale - given the number of nations directly or indirectly involved in supporting one or other of the contenders -could be, and probably is, the prelude to a new world order, moving towards a unipolar, bipolar or multipolar format? Be that as it may, the world's tectonic plates are colliding, reconfiguring themselves; and in the faults and points of collision, conflicts arise in some places, and in others they are brewing.... Will Africa be one of those (great) spaces in which the old and new powers seek positions of advantage for this new, yet to be defined, global order?
