Resumen de Razão, ciência e secularismo: o desafio da apologética cristã no século XXI

  Christian apologetics is far from just a response to Enlightenment’s criticisms concerning religion. It is part of the theological tradition since the New Testament’s days. This work’s purpose consists in demonstrate that Christian apologetics can have at least three great benefits for the Christian Church in the Brazilian context of the 21st century, therefore responding to the challenge of secularization. Such benefits pass through the evangelization of non-Christians, the strengthening of Christians’ faith and the maintenance of a cultural environment favorable to the Christian faith.

  A apologética cristã está longe de ser apenas uma resposta às críticas iluministas à religião. Ela faz parte da tradição teológica desde os dias do Novo Testamento. O objetivo do presente trabalho consiste em demonstrar que a apologética cristã pode ter ao menos três grandes benefícios para a Igreja cristã no contexto brasileiro do século XXI, respondendo, assim, ao desafio da secularização. Tais benefícios passam pela evangelização de não cristãos; o fortalecimento da fé de cristãos e a manutenção de um ambiente cultural favorável à fé cristã.
