    Messianic secrecy is not a defeated theme. Investigating its strategic function in Mark is the aim of this work, from narrative elements and the association of secrecy with heroic characters. In Marcos, these elements suggest the need for analysis of related themes, such as the incomprehension of the disciples and fear. The bibliographic research was the procedure adopted, in combination with the survey of the themes mentioned and their recurrence. Theoretical principles of Theology, Hermeneutics, Linguistics, Literature, mainly are used, seeking to situate the process of construction of narrative meaning in the confluence of discursive and textual borrowings. Messianic secrecy is a phenomenon internal to the gospel and must be explained from the indications inserted in it.

    O segredo messiânico não é tema vencido. Investigar sua função estratégica em Marcos é o objetivo deste trabalho, a partir de elementos narrativos e da associação de segredo a personagens heroicas. Em Marcos, esses elementos sugerem a necessidade de análise de temas afins como a incompreensão dos discípulos e o medo. A pesquisa bibliográfica foi o procedimento adotado, em combinação com o levantamento dos temas apontados e da recorrência deles. Usam-se princípios teóricos de Teologia, Hermenêutica, Linguística e Literatura, principalmente, buscando situar o processo de construção de sentido da narrativa na confluência de empréstimos discursivos e textuais.
