The enum-priestesses dedicated to the god Nanna/Sin in Ur are well known, their consorts dedicated to Utu/Šamaš in Larsa much less so. This religious function seems to have been created by Gungunum at the end of the twentieth century in imitation of what existed in Ur; it lasted until the abandonment of Larsa in the year 11 of Samsu-iluna. These women lived in a building designated sometimes as their house (É EN dUTU), sometimes as GIPAR. To this residence was attached a specific staff. It is possible that this GIPAR was discovered during the recent excavations at Tell Senkereh/Larsa (building B50).

Les prêtresses-enum vouées à Ur au dieu Nanna/Sin sont bien connues, leurs consœurs voués à Utu/Šamaš à Larsa beaucoup moins. Cette fonction religieuse semble avoir été créée par Gungunum à la fin du XXe siècle à l’imitation de ce qui existait à Ur; elle dura jusqu’à l’abandon de Larsa en l’an 11 de Samsu-iluna. Ces femmes vivaient dans un bâtiment désigné tantôt comme leur maison (É EN dUTU), tantôt comme GIPAR. À cette résidence était rattaché un personnel spécifique. Il est possible que ce GIPAR ait été découvert lors des fouilles récentes de tell Senkereh/Larsa (bâtiment B50).
