Resumen de Un caso secentesco: «la più nobile e la più degna» nel «Canzoniero» di Tommaso Stigliani
The study investigates the incidence of the Petrarchan canzone form among the poems of Tommaso Stigliani. By preliminarily retracing the editorial history of the poet’s lyric poems, and starting from a perusal of the different canzoni he published between the Rime (1601) and the final Canzoniero (1625), his four classic canzone (with congedo) are examined from the point of view of their metrical structure, highlighting their relations with Petrarch and Marino, and their compliance with the metricological indications provided by the author in the posthumous treatise Arte del verso italiano (1658)
