Resumen de Le canzoni di Sannazaro e la lirica aragonese. Storia, temi, metrica e stile
The essay aims to propose a methodological reflection on the need to introduce history and philology into metric-stylistic studies, starting with the study of Sannazaro’s and the Aragonese poets’ canzoni. Firstly, metrics (and Petrarchan schemes) are read in relation to aspects such as the history and the occasions of the texts, their themes, their inventive models, their position in the books. Secondly, moving on to syntax, the different tendencies are defined in relation to the historical-literary characterisation of the authors, then attention is drawn on the specificities of Sannazaro and Cariteo. In closing, a commentary on some significant passages by Sannazaro is offered.
