Resumen de Genealogía mural. Investigación y práctica pictórica en el espacio público

El siguiente texto pretende centrarse en la búsqueda emocional e intelectual que desde haceya cerca de veinte años ha vinculado mi proceso artístico con los archivos familiares. El lectorencontrará un repaso a mi itinerario profesional en el terreno de las artes. Prestaré especialinterés en relatar mi experiencia en el campo del muralismo, y la apropiación y uso que enmi obra hago de documentación heredada, encontrada, olvidada, rechazada y/o anónima.Mi trabajo pictórico aborda la teatralidad de la vida cotidiana y cuestiona la representacióndel subconsciente colectivo, intentando alejarse del aspecto puramente nostálgico.En la puesta en escena de estas imágenes (comunes e intemporales) trato de reconstruirun pasado reciente que poco a poco va desvaneciéndose de nuestra memoria, enlazandocuestiones genealógicas personales con una experiencia colectiva compartida.El encuadre es tratado como una escenografía, poblada de actores anónimos que interpretanfrente a las cortinas de un teatro imaginario. A menudo, estos actores provienen de documentosque he heredado o son fruto de una ardua selección en diversos archivos.Con estas obras quiero poner de relieve la complejidad de nuestros orígenes, concentrándomeen el misterio de las cosas sencillas. Intereses e inquietudes que van muy ligados a mis raícessuecas, fuente constante de inspiración.El uso contemporáneo de evidencias y rastros documentales brinda una nueva dimensión yvida a la imagen. Me gusta interpretarlo como un regalo y, de este mismo modo, compartirlocon el espectador.

The following text is intended to focus on the emotional and intellectual search that for nearlytwenty years has linked my artistic process with family archives. The reader will find a lookat my professional itinerary in the field of the arts. I will pay special interest in relating myexperience in the field of muralism, and the appropriation and use that I make of inherited,found, forgotten, rejected and/or anonymous documentation in my work.My pictorial work approaches the theatricality of everyday life and interrogates therepresentation of the collective subconscious, trying to move away from the purely nostalgicaspect.In the staging of these images (common and timeless) I try to reconstruct a recent past thatis gradually fading from our memory, linking personal genealogical issues with a sharedcollective experience.The frame is treated as a scenography, populated by anonymous actors playing in front ofthe curtains of an imaginary theater. Often, these actors come from documents that I haveinherited or are the result of an arduous selection in various archives.With these works I want to highlight the complexity of our origins, concentrating on themystery of simple things. Interests and concerns that are closely linked to my Swedish roots,a constant source of inspiration.The contemporary use of documentary evidence and traces brings a new dimension andlife to the image. I like to interpret it as a gift and, in this way, to share it with the audience.
