  Los numerales distributivos son uno de los recursos que las lenguas tienen para expresar nociones de distributividad. De acuerdo con la tipología de los numerales distributivos, estos siempre introducen la parte distribuida (distributive share) y no la clave de distribución (sorting key) de una relación distributiva (Gil 1982: 339-340; Choe 1987). En este trabajo se analizan dos tipos de numerales distributivos en matlatzinca (otomangue ISO-6393 MAT) y se muestra que en esta lengua uno de ellos puede introducir la clave de distribución. La descripción que aquí se hace descansa en la determinación de las condiciones de verdad y de felicidad de las construcciones que contienen a los numerales marcados con los prefijos pu- o mún- y de la referencia de las frases nominales introducidas por estos numerales. Se corrobora que estos prefijos son marcas de distributividad exclusivas de los numerales cardinales y que cumplen diferentes funciones: mún- se marca en el numeral que refiere a la parte distribuida y su significado en español puede traducirse como ‘de n en n’, o ‘de a n’ donde es n es cualquier número cardinal, mientras que pu- tiene alcance sobre la frase numeral que introduce la clave de distribución, y su significado aproximado al español es ‘cada uno’.

  Distributive numerals are one of the resources by which languages express notions of distributivity. According to the typology of distributive numerals, they always introduce the distributive share and not the sorting key of a distributive relation (Gil 1982: 339-340; Choe 1987). In this work, two types of distributive numerals are analyzed in Matlatzinca (Otomanguean ISO-6393 MAT) and it is shown that in this language one of them can introduce the sorting key. The description is based on the truth and felicity conditions of the constructions that contain the numerals marked with the prefixes pu- or mún-, and on the reference of the nominal phrases introduced by these numerals. It is confirmed that these prefixes are exclusive distributivity markers of the cardinal numerals and that they fulfill two different functions: mún- is marked in the numeral that introduces the distributed share and its meaning in English can be translated as ‘n by n’, where n is any cardinal number, while pu- is attached to the numeral phrase that introduces the sorting key, and its approximate meaning in English would be ‘each one’.
