El descubrimiento del arte japonés impregnó la cotidianidad de la sociedad de finales del siglo XIX y supuso un impacto de modernización y transformación de las artes europeas, un horizonte de inspiración que ha perdurado hasta el siglo XXI. Al igual que en los viajes del Grand Tour, realizaremos un recorrido iniciático, por algunas de las colecciones japonesas de los museos más destacados de Europa, para apreciar la riqueza y variedad de este patrimonio, que tanto ha supuesto para la evolución del arte europeo.

At the end of the 19th century, the discovery of Japanese art permeated the everyday life of society and had an impact on the modernisation and transformation of European art, a horizon of inspiration that has continued into the 21st century. As in the Grand Tour, we will take an introductory tour of some of the Japanese collections in Europe's most important museums to appreciate the richness and diversity of this heritage, which has had such an impact on the development of European art.
