Cytomegalovirus infection is relatively common in pregnancy. Given the seriousness of the complications, from congenital hypoacusis to malformations incompatible with life, and the fact there is currently no vaccine or curative treatment available, primary prevention by midwives in health centers must be updated and of high quality.
