El fenómeno del alba es una manifestación poco común pero significativa en pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2. Presentamos el caso de un paciente con DM tipo 2 que acudió a urgencias con hiperglucemia matutina y sospecha de fenómeno del alba.
Este caso clínico destaca la importancia de reconocer este fenómeno en la gestión de la diabetes para evitar complicaciones y mejorar el control glucémico del paciente.

The dawn phenomenon is a rare but significant manifestation in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. We present the case of a patient with Type 2 DM who presented to the emergency department with morning hyperglycemia and suspected dawn phenomenon. This clinical case emphasizes the importance of recognizing this phenomenon in the management of diabetes to avoid complications and improve patient glycemic control.
