    La queratolisis punctata es una infección dermatológica de causa bacteriana que hay que sospechar ante afectación plantar bilateral en pies e hipersudoración. Se trata de una patología infradiagnosticada debido tanto al desconocimiento de la misma como a la falta de consulta por parte de los pacientes. Es importante realizar un diagnóstico diferencial con la infección fúngica.

    El tratamiento médico se basa en antibioterapia tópica con un pronóstico excelente tras 1-4 semanas de tratamiento. La prevención de reinfecciones se realiza evitando el uso de calzados oclusivos y tomando medidas para reducir el exceso de humedad a nivel plantar.

    Se presenta el caso de un varón joven con queratolisis punctata, su evolución y tratamiento.

    Pitted keratolysis is a dermatological infection caused by bacterias that must be suspected in cases of bilateral plantar involvement of the feet and hypersweating. It is an underdiagnosed pathology, both due to lack of knowledge and lack of consultation by patients. It is important to perform a differential diagnosis with fungal infection.

    Medical treatment is based on topical antibiotic therapy with an excellent prognosis after 1-4 weeks of treatment. Prevention of reinfections is done by avoiding occlusive footwear and reducing the plantar hypersweating.

    The case of a young man with pitted keratolysis, its evolution and treatment is presented.
