    Este dossier parte de la historia transnacional y la historia de género como perspectivas de análisis que al combinarse ofrecen nuevas miradas para la interpretación del pasado. La experiencia de las comunistas en las iniciativas de tipo transnacional es conocida para la primera mitad del siglo XX, pero no sucede así con las décadas de los sesenta, setenta y ochenta, en que tuvieron lugar profundos cambios en las relaciones internacionales, el comunismo y el feminismo. Los artículos del dossier se interesan por los discursos y representaciones de género en la comunidad transnacional comunista y por la activa participación de las mujeres en las redes transnacionales establecidas desde el sur de Europa y América Latina.

    This dossier is based on transnational history and gender history as perspectives of analysis which, when combined, offer new insights into the interpretation of the past. The experience of communist women in transnational initiatives is well known for the first half of the 20th century, but not for the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, when profound changes in international relations, communism and feminism took place. The articles in the dossier are focused on gender discourses and representations in the communist transnational community, and on the active participation of women in transnational networks established from Southern Europe and Latin America.
