Resumen de Maternidades disidentes en la narrativa mexicana actual: análisis de Casas vacías (2019) de Brenda Navarro y La hija única (2020) de Guadalupe Nettel

  Desde el pasado siglo, los movimientos feministas han tratado de horadar el grueso muro de la mística materna: la visibilización de otras (no) maternidades se abre paso, y esta se ha erigido en uno de los asuntos capitales de la narrativa actual escrita por mujeres. Nos proponemos analizar las maternidades disidentes o poco normativas que se representan en dos casos recientes de la narrativa mexicana, Casas vacías (2019), de Brenda Navarro, y La hija única (2020), de Guadalupe Nettel, con tal de evidenciar que, tanto en la realidad como en las manifestaciones literarias, no existe una única forma de maternidad, y perseverar en la importancia de que las distintas maternidades ingresen en la literatura en forma de personajes reales, alejados del monolítico ideario esencialista que ha venido determinando el retrato de las madres en la literatura durante siglos.

  Since the last century, feminist movements have tried to break through the thick wall of maternal mysticism: the visibilisation of other (non-)motherhoods is paving its own path, and it has become one of the key issues in today's narrative written by women. Our aim is to analyse the dissident or non-normative maternities represented in two recent cases of Mexican narrative, Casas vacías (2019), by Brenda Navarro, and La hija única (2020), by Guadalupe Nettel, in order to evince that, both in reality and in literary manifestations, there is no single form of maternity, and to persevere in the importance of different maternities entering literature in the form of real characters, with whom real mothers can identify, and far removed from the monolithic essentialist ideology that has been determining the portrayal of mothers in literature for centuries.
