Resumen de Chinese School Boys and Social Media: A Study of Cyberattacks

  • This study was conducted to measure the relationship between social media use and cyberattacks on students. The study also measures the moderating role of privacy issues, lack of information, and parental control concerningsocial media use and cyberattacks on students. The quantitative data was used in this research to measure the relationship between variables. Eight hundred fourteenresponses were collected,and the respondents of this study were the students ata school located in Shanghai and its remote areas. The motivation of this research was to provide theoretical and practical findings to reduce the number of cyberattacks on students, which isnecessary for their better social media use experience. The study analyzed the collected data using R language,a novel contribution to the literature. The direct and moderating relationships reported by this research were empirically analyzed to provide reliable findings in the literature.The study also recommends policy implicationsto keep students informed andaway from cyberattacks.
