This work puts in question the link between memory and fantasy and its production in the spectacle society ruled byculture industry. From the romance Fahrenheit 451 (BRADBURY) and the homonymous film (TRUFFAUT, 1966), theessay aims at reflecting on the imagetic-eletronics mass media in the process of subjectivity formation of memoryand fantasy. In other words, the question that guides the reflection is: how does the culture industry act in theprocess of building the senses and which place do the imagetic-eletronics media, specifically cinema, occupy in theproduction of collective memory and fantasy?
