This proposal seeks to examine how the creation of Brazilian audiovisual product aimed at children is structured. Inexamining the production of content and adjustment of language for this target, as well as policies and initiatives forthe construction of an audience, we realize that, currently, the international co-production is an important mechanismused by producers to develop and financing of works of children’s content. To illustrate how this process occurs in the audiovisual market, we chose, as an object of study, the series “MyBig Big Friend” – an animated series created by Brazilian studio 2D Lab and Breakthrough Animation, a Canadianproducer company. From this work, we consider the following questions: How does the model of co-production ofthe series uses the qualities, talents and ideas of the two companies involved? How to create an identity for childrenof different nationalities? Was the process of creation of “My Big Big Friend” within the concept of “global identity”illustrating characteristics that transcend territorial barriers?
