  • The contemporary society, is organized and lives according to an economic system based on consumption, whichvalues only the active individuals, devaluing the elderly as a social subject, under evaluating their human potential.Based on this understanding and recognizing how the images are important resources to assist the development ofcontent related to the teaching learning process of children, this study aims at the creation of animated films made inpart by the elderly to promote habits and skills read in the pre-school and beginner “reader”. These communicationdevices are based on the “method of 28 words” that uses the image as a mediator in reading and writing.This experimental project, will allow the elderly to experience and share new experiences, applying and valuingtheir knowledge gained over a lifetime, through its active participation in creating playful/ educational devices,which applies new methods and technologies under the theme of film animation. This intergenerational experiencethat aims to provide an innovative learning, more effective and appealing either to the child either to the elderly,particularly aimed at understanding how the pre-school and beginner “reader” learns to construct meanings in visualand audiovisual contents developed either by the child either by elderly and thus assess the potential of this newaesthetic and language images aimed at children.We aim, at the culmination of this exercise, an insert that values the elderly as human beings, allowing him to feelactive, alive and socially integrated. In this perspective, this project, will become a unique and different way that willprovide unforgettable moments of interaction between grandparents and grandchildren.
