Resumen de Turismo Rural Comunitario en La Sierra Norte de Oaxaca (México). Una mirada en tiempos de pandemia

  El presente trabajo se centra en el Turismo Rural Comunitario (TRC) en la Sierra Norte de Oaxaca, México. A partir de fuentes secundarias, se realiza una aproximación conceptual, para, posteriormente, analizar las características de esa forma de turismo, sus fortalezas y debilidades, así como la oportunidad reflexiva que nos ofrece la pandemia causada por el COVID-19. Finalmente se realiza una evaluación sintética de sus logros en base a tres grupos de aspectos: la influencia del TRC en las economías de los pobladores, las relaciones entre los turistas y el patrimonio y la cultura material e inmaterial autóctonas, y las dinámicas de gestión empresarial, patrimonial e identitaria de los pobladores respecto al TRC. Las conclusiones, que requerirán contrastarse mediante futuro trabajo de campo sobre el terreno, muestran una evaluación positiva en los tres ámbitos citados, aunque con limitaciones y tensiones diversas. A la vez que destacan las oportunidades que suscita este tipo de turismo para la nueva normalidad que se presumen en el futuro.

  This work focuses on Rural Community Tourism (CRT) in the Sierra Norte de Oaxaca, Mexico. From secondary sources, a conceptual approach is made, to go on to analyze the characteristics of this form of tourism, its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the reflective opportunity offered by the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Finally, an evaluation of its achievements is carried out based on three groups of aspects: the influence of the CRT in the economies of the inhabitants, the relations between tourists and the native material and immaterial heritage and culture, and the dynamics of business management, patrimonial and identity of the settlers with respect to the CRT. The conclusions show a positive evaluation about the three aforementioned areas, although with various limitations and tensions. At the same time, they highlight the opportunities that this type of tourism raises for the new normal that is presumed in the future.
