Cinema in Latin America, despite differences in condition of production, distribution and even formal differences, has some common characteristics, such as the realization of a political cinema. Those films reflect on the subjectand the space that surrounds it. Also reflects on the limitations of space surrounded often by boundaries realor virtual. And I’ll talk about boundaries: between the visible and invisible cinema (Hollywood vs. Latin America),between documentary and fiction. I chose some directors from three countries representative enough in terms offilm production in the region: Argentina, Mexico and Brazil. Among the directors, I selected those that exceed theboundary between fiction and documentary, whose films, even when they are fictional, bring the indelible mark ofthe real and when they are documentary, bring the poetry.
