The purpose of this study is to talk about the work of Brazilian filmmaker Mark Pimentel. The independent documentarydevoted to the investigation of memory and its relationship with time. Formed by Social Communication course atthe Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, he sought to deepen the International School of Film and TV in SanAntonio de Los Baños, Cuba. Gradually, the young filmmaker has developed a keen eye on document production,as well as in building relationships with her subjects. In this research, we propose to explain significant fragments oftheir career, as well as an original film analysis of two of his works: Survivors (2000) and Nothing to Nobody (2003).Both investigate and explain different forms of meetings, approaches and, ultimately, communicative interactions.
