  • David Lynch is an artist known particularly for his films. However, his principal vocation is the painting. He alwayspaints because he wants to ‘catch’ the ideas and the images that pass from his mind. His graphic work is visible inhis early films which date back to the ‘60’s (from 1967 to 1970).In 1970, he directs The Grandmother, film of 34 minutes. In this film, an important number of paintings invade thecinematic world. These images presented like a cartoon, alternate with realistic images.My work is focused on the relation of these two different kinds of images, on the rhythm and movement that theycreate and on their impact on the characters of the film.
