The memory of families, places and stories built as an artistic expression and film through the eyes of threefilmmakers. In the films “Um Passaporte Húngaro” (2002), “Transocean” (2007) and “Histórias Cruzadas” (2008),the search for identity and cinematic narrative are built in part by dislocations. Just like the filmic landscapes havebeen constituted as spaces of memory. These films expose “transatlantic cultural landscapes” in a plurality of space-times, the landscapes are part of memory and rewrite stories and events of history: the Second World War, theHungarian Revolution of 1956 and Brazil’s recent history, in particular the period of dictatorship from 1964 to 1985.
