The horror narratives have always been fascinating to spectators, attracting their attention sometimes in regard ofan ambience of mystery, where the unknown takes place, sometimes through empathy to the hero and his needfor fighting the perils that threat to destroy mankind. The monster is considered the personification of evil againsthumanity, and through its destruction we can see our fears and discuss them. The present paper aims at analyzingthe Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” movie, from the point of view of horror narratives, being the monster figurepersonified on Lord Blackwood character, with his ritualistic practices and serial killing.
