In this research, we try to assimilate foregrounding theory as outlined by J. Mukarovsky and B. Havranek and thendeveloped by Geoffrey Leech to a full fleshed theory and method in Poetics. Therefore we take advantage of theconcepts and tools of Stylistics, Saussurean Linguistics and the Semiotics of the Cinema as theorized by Metz andEco. Our basic Hypothesis in this study is that we can borrow foregrounding theory from Linguistics and apply it tocinema Semiotic Systems, apart from its special materials i.e. the verbal language. This study tries to show that itis possible to use Foregrounding Theory to explain the aesthetic aspects of Cinema. So we try to appoint the verityof Linguistic Deviations and Parallelisms in Cinema. At the end, we conclude that the Linguistic Deviations andParallelisms are useful concepts in the explanation of the Aesthetic of Cinema.
