El presente documento busca orientar al terapeuta ocupacional sobre las normas éticas generales que deben acompañarle durante su trabajo diario y describir la conducta profesional que debe guiar la práctica de la terapia ocupacional. Los Colegios Profesionales deben garantizar la intervención de los terapeutas ocupacionales en la sociedad. Es por ello que en el año 2.003 se elaboró a la elaboración del siguiente código de ética, donde se exponen los principios que deben de regir la práctica de la terapia ocupacional, como profesión sanitaria que es.

The present document seeks to orientate the occupational therapist on the ethical general procedure that have to of accompanying him during his daily work and describing that professional conduct must guide the practice of the occupational therapy. The Professional Colleges must guarantee the intervention of the occupational therapists in the society. It is for it that in the year 2.001 one proceeded to the production(elaboration) of the following code of ethics, where there is exposed the beginning(principles) that must govern the practice of the occupational therapy, as sanitary profession that is.
