  • Resumen
    • Screenwriters use Step Outline as a tool in the creation of his film scripts, for example, in order to detect a mistakeon narrative structure of film they are writing. However, it is not usually use from criticism and film analysis. Since ithas no sense in itself (it only makes sense to help the writer himself) there isn ́t a single method of writing the StepOutline and always has a subjective component. From our perspective, we propose a model construction and use ofStep Outline as a tool for film analysis in films based on classic narrative and drama. A thorough preparation of StepOutline, highlighting the most significant events as they happen throughout the story, it may possible to construct agraph in which, on a timeline, you can immediately distinguish the importance of each storyline, the density of thewhole drama, dramatic main divisions... Since we use a film already made, the extracted information is accurateand provides a quick and clear view about the plot structure of the films. We have seen how this timing diagram isvery interesting for analysis on a finished film in a visual way. The Step Outline is an analytical tool, not evidence tosupport, endorse or override a movie. However provides valuable information for the final review of the film.
