Resumen de Escala de Agresividad para Adolescentes Mexicanos

  Este estudio tuvo como objetivos: 1) desarrollar una escala para medir diferentes tipos de agresividad en adolescentes mexicanos; y 2) obtener indicadores de validez y confiabilidad del instrumento. Mediante muestreos intencionales, participaron adolescentes de 13 a 17 años provenientes de la Ciudad de México y Zona Metropolitana. En la primera fase se investigaron comportamientos agresivos entre pares y se desarrollaron los ítems de la escala; en la segunda se exploró y confirmó su estructura factorial, se obtuvieron índices de confiabilidad y se indagó su relación con la desregulación emocional y el afecto negativo. Se informaron comportamientos agresivos físicos, verbales, relacionales y sexuales. Se obtuvo una estructura compuesta de dos factores: Agresividad Física-Verbal y Relacional. Los índices de confiabilidad se consideraron adecuados, y la escala evidenció validez concurrente al correlacionar positivamente con la desregulación emocional y el afecto negativo. El instrumento puede ser útil para medir la agresividad en adolescentes mexicanos.

  The objectives of this study were: 1) to develop a scale to measure different types of aggressiveness in Mexican adolescents; and 2) to obtain validity and reliability indicators of the instrument. The participants were adolescents between 13 and 17 years of age from Mexico City and its metropolitan area, through purposive sampling. In the first phase, aggressive behaviors among peers were investigated and the scale items were developed; in the second phase, its factorial structure was explored and confirmed, reliability indices were obtained and its relationship with emotional dysregulation and negative affect was investigated. Physical, verbal, relational and sexual aggressive behaviors were reported. A structure composed of two factors was obtained: Physical-Verbal and Relational Aggressiveness. Reliability indices were considered adequate, and the scale evidenced concurrent validity by correlating positively with emotional dysregulation and negative affect. The instrument may be useful for measuring aggressiveness in Mexican adolescents.
