Resumen de De la fundamentación de la metafísica al mundo circundante: conexiones entre Kant, Uexküll y Husserl

  Helmuth Plessner fue probablemente el primero en caracterizar la teoría del mundo circundante (Umwelt) de Jakob von Uexküll como fenomenológica, considerándola una auténtica “fenomenología del comportamiento vivo”. Sin duda, para von Uexküll, cada sujeto animal puede ser investigado según la parte del mundo con la que se relaciona, conformando así su mundo circundante. Por otra parte, en estrecha relación con lo anterior, en la fenomenología de Husserl también se empleó el término Umwelt, vinculándolo con la inmediata exterioridad del mundo con el que el sujeto establece relaciones. Ahora bien, tanto en la biología de Uexküll como en la fenomenología de Husserl, se encuentran elementos provenientes de la filosofía crítica kantiana, los cuales son retomados en cada caso para ser ampliados o reformulados. A continuación, se delineará la base común en el kantianismo por la cual tanto Uexküll como Husserl recurren posteriormente al concepto de Umwelt.   Helmuth Plessner was likely the first to characterize Jakob von Uexküll’s theory of the“surrounding world” (Umwelt) as phenomenological, considering it an authentic “phenomenol-ogy of living behavior”. Certainly, for von Uexküll, every animal subject can be investigatedbased on the part of the world with which it relates, shaping its surrounding world. More-over, in intimate connection with the above, the term Umwelt was also used in Husserl’s phe-nomenology, associating it with the immediate exterior of the world with which the subjectestablishes relationships. However, both in Uexküll’s biology and in Husserl’s phenomenol-ogy, elements from Kantian critical philosophy are present, which are taken up in each caseto be expanded or reformulated. The following will outline the common basis in Kantism forwhich both Uexküll and Husserl later turn to the concept ofUmwelt. Although this conceptwill not be extensively discussed, it is important to recognize it as a key element in under-standing the meaning of Uexküll’s biology on the one hand, and Husserl’s phenomenologyon the other
