    La endometriosis es una enfermedad crónica y progresiva que afecta a mujeres en edad reproductiva, caracterizada por el crecimiento anormal de tejido endometrial fuera del útero. El tejido endometrial es el mismo que recubre el interior del útero y se renueva mensualmente durante el ciclo menstrual. En la endometriosis, este tejido se implanta y crece en otros órganos pélvicos, como los ovarios, las trompas de Falopio, el intestino y la vejiga, formando lesiones o nódulos endometriósicos.

    Endometriosis is a chronic and progressive disease that affects women of reproductive age, characterized by the abnormal growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus. The endometrial tissue is the same tissue that lines the inside of the uterus and is renewed monthly during the menstrual cycle. In endometriosis, this tissue implants and grows in other pelvic organs, such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, intestine and bladder, forming endometriotic lesions or nodules.
