    La inquietud por comprender la estructura teórica de la disciplina fueron relativamente tempranas. Es necesario nombrar la variedad de formas de nombrar la teoría, aspecto que nos lleva a marcar claramente diferencias y paralelismos entre unas y otras. Reconocer que forma tiene la teoría es el paso para comprender donde se asienta nuestra disciplina. Aunque los diferentes autores relevantes en la Terapia Ocupacional ha escrito sus razonamientos, no todos ellos agrupan los conocimientos bajo el mismo prisma. Con este artículo intentamos agrupar y buscar las similitudes entre ellos.

    The worry for understanding the theoretical structure of the discipline were relatively early. It is necessary to mention the variety of ways of naming the theory, this aspect that leads us to marking clearly differences and parallelisms between some and others. To admit that it forms has the theory is the step to understand where one agrees our discipline. Although the different relevant authors in the Occupational Therapy they have written their reasonings, not at all of them to form a group the knowledge under the same prism. With this article we try to group and to look for similar characteristic between them.
