    Este artigo visa investigar a abordagem racial em textos literários. Para tal, utilizou-se o método qualitativo, partindo de uma pesquisa de natureza bibliográfica por meio da análise do conteúdo de 9 contos. Entre os resultados apresentados evidenciam que os textos literários trabalhados eclodiram unidades de sentido e temas que integram o saber necessário a reflexão das questões socioraciais. Conclui-se que o combate ao preconceito e a afirmação da identidade negra na escola e no tecido social, veiculados pela literatura, viabilizam o diálogo intercultural e inclusão desse grupo minoritário.

    In the intersection of society and education, this article aimed to investigate combating racial prejudice in literary texts, with specific objectives: listing nine texts that positively address black culture, usable in student reading practices; identifying whether black individuals are valued and empowered in the conceptions of writers. A qualitative approach was employed in bibliographical and documentary research, encompassing 9 tales, drawing upon integral or dialectical method (Antonio Candido) and content analysis (Laurence Bardin). Among the outcomes, the explored literary texts revealed units of meaning and the following themes. It is concluded that combating prejudice and affirming black identity in schools and within the social fabric, conveyed through literature, facilitate intercultural dialogue and the inclusion of this minority group in power dynamics.
